Our First Few Weeks in Our New Home

We reached our new home! We are on our way to becoming true Yucateceans!
Once we reached our destination our Saturn decided she needed a rest... so she decided to have her ignition coil go to a better place. Unfortunately Saturn is not a big car here and we had to order her a new part. It will take two weeks to arrive. We have found our biggest stressor here is that no one stresses here! I know it sounds odd but we are so used to rushing here and there. Nobody is in any hurry here. If you have something scheduled for delivery, you might as well take the day off. Your delivery may arrive at 9am (nothing happens before 9am) or it may show up at 10 pm. Everyone is laid back and kind and not stressed in the least. We will learn to relax as well. Probably will live a lot longer too. Eduardo found a Gold's Gym and has settled back into his daily work out regime. He even found out when the body building competitions are here. Alas it seems Deb will still have to deal with Ed having his "Heidi Klum" moments during competition preparation. "I don't know how much sodium is in Chewing Tobacco Ed." . But he is healthy and happy and it is nice to see him smiling so much.

I have talked Ed into one wall in the dining room as my canvas. So now we have a sunflower theme to our dining nook.

We Keep finding great places and people here. On Mother's Day Ed took me to eat at a great plance in Centro named Slavia. The decor was incredibly fun, the staff fabulous, and the food was incredible!!!

We also found a new sushi hangout. It cost half what we spent in AZ... BIG SCORE!

Of course as always our friends from our iglesia here have been fabulous.

Ed and I venture out everyday to try to find different places. It became glaringly apparent that you can live in an identical fashion as in the USA when we happed upon the Galleria Mall and ate at Chilli's next to the Ice Skating Rink!

Oh and did I mention there is a rainy season here?!?

Last night Ed and I were out and about. It had been a beautiful day with big fluffy white clouds when we went into the store. When we exited the store Ed said "Hmmmm the sky is pretty dark and ominous." We started our 15 minute drive home. Five minutes into the drive Kaboom! it was pouring. You could see maybe 15 feet in front of the car. Thankfully everyone here knows how to drive in rain so it wasn't like in Arizona where rain melts people's IQ's. I guess it isn't even officially the rainy season yet (Holy Umbrellas Batman!)

Apparently Rain also brings out even more critters. When we arrived home we had a new visitor. I could handle this one, foreign as he was to me. Ribbitttt!

So We are Here and We are Happy as can be!
