Deb and Ed Full Steam Ahead!!: A Sunday Drive

We decided to take a drive around town today. We have spent a lot of time taking pictures of neighboring towns, so we thought we should take a few more in our own.

We have mentioned that across the street from our house they are building another new community. They are all small 2 bedroom homes, but actually pretty nice looking community.

This is the entrance into our community and the one across the street.

Our drive was maybe an hour long. Everything you see in this video is 10-15 minutes from our house. You will see how diverse Merida is.. some very old and falling down areas in Centro... some incredibly impecable areas.

We stayed in the centro district. We will do another Sunday drive and take pictures of the huge Casas in Norte district.

They are beautiful, but I must admit, I love the old falling down buildings best. I love the character they have.

We also went to dinner with Mari, Dwight and their friend Cindy last night. Such nice people.

It is funny because Dwight reminds Ed of his father, and Mari reminds me a lot of my mother, both whom have passed away. So it is a treat to spend time with them for many reasons. (Oh by the way....these are the outlaw dog Lincoln's parents LOL)

We scheduled a trip to swim with Whale Sharks August 30th. They come from June through September for mating season to Holbox Isle. Holbox is about 2.5 hours from here. We can't wait! Whale sharks are the largest fish on earth!
